What is the minimum required qualification to commence Pilot training?

Minimum qualification required to commence Pilot training is 10+2 with Maths and Physics. If you haven’t done Maths and Physics in 10+2 you have an option of appearing for these specific subjects at 10+2 level from the National Institute of open schooling. Medical clearance to be obtained from DGCA appointed medical examiner. Minimum Age to commence Pilot Training = 18 years.

How long does it take to train to become a Pilot?

Becoming a Commercial Pilot typically takes 12 to 18 months, depending on factors like weather, training pace, and institute efficiency. This includes completing ground school, flight training, and passing the required DGCA exams and checks.

What are the regulatory requirements to obtain a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)?

To obtain a Commercial Pilot Licence, most aviation authorities around the world require you to

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have completed high school education, typically with Physics and Mathematics
  • Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Accumulate a minimum of 200 hours of flight time

Can I become a Pilot with Commerce or Arts background?
